🏵️ The Energetic and Relaxing Massage:

Comprehensive and relaxing, it targets the energy points located along the meridians (energy channels in Chinese medicine), relaxing the fascia and tendon-muscle chains. It helps dissolve tension and soothe the mind. It also opens the body's energy channels to restore balance between body and mind, allowing for relaxation and vitality.

On the nude body, with oil and hot stones during the off-season, and refreshing and energizing stones during the summer.

Using essential oils diluted in massage oil and scented oils if desired. Various manual techniques are used, such as touch, pressure, stroking, stretching, vibration, or the use of hot stones, Tibetan bowl vibrations, essential oils, or crystals. Each energy massage session is tailored to the individual's specific needs, taking into account their health, history, and preferences.

🏵️ Vibrational massage with Tok'sen:

The term Tok means to strike. Sen, for its part, refers to the energy lines, similar to Chinese meridians and Indian nadis, that run through the body.

This massage can be performed over clothing or on oiled skin. It consists of a series of percussions along these lines and the tendon-muscle chains.

To perform this massage, the practitioner uses two tools: a wooden wedge held in one hand and carefully sliding it along the Sen, and a mallet in the other hand, which the practitioner lifts at a regular pace and lets fall freely onto the wedge.

The wood traditionally used to make these tools comes from a species of tamarind tree, a hardwood harvested after being naturally struck by lightning. While this Tok Sen technique may seem, at first glance, somewhat "aggressive" due to its percussion on the body, the sensation it provides is actually gentle and relaxing. It's a technique that can be therapeutic, as Toksens have always replaced needles in northern Thailand, but it can also be very relaxing for the body and mind.

However, as with all massages, Toksens has limitations and contraindications: pregnancy, metastatic cancer, serious cardiovascular problems, thrombosis, multiple sclerosis, etc.

The vibrations generated by the striking of the massage tools penetrate the body deeply, communicating to all tissues: skin, muscles, fascia, nerves, bones, etc. Moreover, the sound resulting from the percussion, like a shamanic drum, draws the mind into a state of deep relaxation, allowing the body and mind to unite.

Here's a link from my training session: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uq37W7zE3Ss I wrote this poem and recorded it for my Toksen instructor! A great way to discover this beautiful technique!

🏵️ Foot Reflexology: A more therapeutic treatment that deeply relaxes the body and mind.

Reflexology can be used by anyone: babies, children, adolescents, adults, athletes, and people undergoing intensive treatment.

Reflexology's main applications, both in health support and prevention, are:

Relaxation, as stress is the cause of many physical and psychological dysfunctions. Activating blood and lymphatic circulation, mobilizing waste products, stimulating the excretory organs, and regulating the nervous system. Preventing, relieving, and even eliminating a large number of disorders and promoting self-regulation. Discover how this age-old practice can bring balance and harmony to your entire being. Each pressure applied to your feet is an invitation to relaxation, healing, and regeneration.

Contraindications:

Phlebitis, thrombosis. If treated, reflexology can even be indicated for these conditions to prevent new flare-ups. During flare-ups such as fever or acute inflammation (eczema, MS, arthritis). Outside of these flare-ups, there are no contraindications.

Recommendations:

Do not fast for more than 8 hours for a foot reflexology session. Diabetics will be asked to monitor their blood sugar levels for 2 to 3 days following a foot reflexology session. Reflexology is a complementary support technique and does not replace appropriate medical supervision.

🏵️ Taoist Bioenergy: Qigong - Nei Gong - Tao Yin Yoga

A health practice based on the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine.

Three main forms can be practiced, linked to the seasons and the 5 elements of traditional Chinese medicine:

Qigong (Chi Kong): A standing posture with slow, fluid movements, promoting the opening of meridian flows, balance, and grounding...

Nei Gong: A meditative form to calm the mind and learn to transform blocking emotions into creative energy.

Tao Yin Yoga: Stretches the meridians and thus releases the tendon-muscle layer throughout the body. The stretches are combined with Taoist self-massage. Seated or lying postures gently relax the spine and psoas muscles.

These workshops are open to anyone wishing to regain inner calm and greater vitality through deep muscle strengthening, relaxation of the tendons and fascia, improved balance, deeper breathing, and more.

To connect with yourself, your body, your sensations, and your emotions.

To better unite body and mind and maintain your physical and emotional balance.
