Ideal for 8 people , the house has 4 large bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom . Depending on the size of the group, two additional beds allow for up to 10 people.

You can then enjoy the Clos as if it were your own home: large spaces to get together, the garden, the swimming pool in season, the jacuzzi , the sauna and, when the evenings become cooler, the fireplace.

Everyone maintains their privacy. Everyone gets together when they want to.

Being in a group of eight or ten doesn't necessarily mean doing everything together.

That's also one of the pleasures of Clos.

With its four bedrooms and four private bathrooms , its large living spaces and its outdoor areas, everyone can maintain their own pace and privacy.

Some will go to visit Cahors while others enjoy the swimming pool. A few will prefer the jacuzzi or the sauna while others will have already opened a bottle on the terrace.

Then everyone will gather around the same table.

You can, of course, cook and organize your meals as you wish.

But you can also decide that, tonight, nobody cooks .

Upon reservation, we can prepare for your group a generous, seasonal, homemade cuisine inspired by the products of the Lot and the Southwest .

Duck, Quercy lamb, market produce, cheeses, truffles when in season… We prefer beautiful products and dishes that we like to put in the middle of the table to unnecessarily complicated gastronomy.

And then there's the wine.

Located a few kilometers from its vineyards, Cahors is obviously at home .

Depending on your preferences and budget, a good bottle of wine chosen simply to accompany dinner can be perfectly adequate. And if the occasion calls for some more special vintages, we can certainly explore that option as well.

Of course. I'm taking over Safran entirely , fully embracing its family-friendly character while ensuring that couples don't think, "This isn't for us." The central idea is: the most spacious and adaptable room in the Clos, ideal for families and very comfortable for two.

Saffron Room

The Clos family room, spacious and adaptable

At nearly 27 m² , Safran is the most spacious and modular room at Clos de la Fontaine.

It was designed to accommodate both a couple wishing to enjoy spacious rooms and a family coming to discover the Lot region .

Next to the main bed, the bunk beds , integrated into a wooden frame, create a true additional sleeping space. Children thus have their own little world while remaining in the same room as their parents.

This configuration makes Safran our ideal family room : Everyone finds their place, without the room looking like a dormitory.

And when Safran is occupied by only two people, its nearly 27 m² simply become an added comfort.

Space for the whole family

Traveling with children often means needing a little more space.

Safran offers just enough for everyone to settle in comfortably.

The large bay window opens directly onto a private 12 m² terrace-balcony , facing the countryside.

Breakfast allows you to start the day peacefully with fresh bread from our baker, jams, homemade yogurts, fruit juices, coffee, tea and carefully selected products .

With a reservation, the Clos' Table d'hôtes allows you to extend your day without having to get back in the car.

We offer simple and delicious cuisine, prepared to please our guests , using fresh, seasonal, and mostly local products.

Dinner begins with an aperitif and then continues with a starter, a main course and a dessert.

For adults who wish, we also offer food and wine pairings around the vineyards of the Lot region , another way to discover the territory and its producers.

The communal table is also a time for meeting.

We exchange information about the day's visits, the next steps, the places we liked, and the discoveries we recommend to other travelers.

And if you prefer to enjoy your evening only with family or as a couple, we can also prepare a separate table for you .

Are you travelling the Way of St. James as a group of four? Just 12 km after Cahors, treat yourselves to a different kind of stop at Clos de la Fontaine, after having crossed the climb towards the Quercy Blanc plateau.

You have exclusive use of Safran, our nearly 27 m² room, with four beds, a private bathroom equipped with a large walk-in shower, and a 12 m² balcony overlooking the countryside. The beds are made up and linens and towels are provided.

Swimming pool, jacuzzi and table d'hôtes: treat yourself!

After your walk, enjoy the tranquility of the garden, the swimming pool, and the jacuzzi (in season). A relaxing moment to share with friends, in the comfort of a charming guesthouse.

In the evening, gather around our Table d'hôtes to enjoy simple and delicious cuisine, prepared from fresh, seasonal, and mostly local produce.

The following day, breakfast is included before setting off again.

A stop that also allows you to discover Montcuq and Lauzerte

By choosing to stop in Labastide-Marnhac, you can start your journey to Cahors with a first stage of 12 km, ideal for getting your legs warmed up, or allow yourself a shorter day after several stages of walking.

This breakdown then allows us to consider a night in Montcuq, then a night in Lauzerte, in order to really take the time to discover these two villages, their alleyways and their heritage.

A first step to get warmed up… or a great step to have fun

12 km after Cahors , once you have crossed the elevation gain which leads to the Quercy Blanc plateau, the Clos de la Fontaine offers you a slightly different stage on the Way of St. James.

Are you starting your journey in Cahors? These first 12 kilometers are a great warm-up: a deliberately shorter first day to get over the climb, find your rhythm and gradually start your journey.

Have you been walking for several days already? Perhaps it's simply the right time to treat yourself to a slightly more comfortable stage .

The spirit of a shared room, plus the comfort of Le Clos

You will be staying in Safran , a beautiful room of nearly 27 m² shared between a maximum of 4 pilgrims , with a private bathroom, a large walk-in shower and a 12 m² balcony opening onto the countryside.

In season, enjoy the swimming pool , then slip into the warm water of the jacuzzi to relax your legs after walking.

And above all, take the time to discover Montcuq and Lauzerte

Stopping at Labastide-Marnhac, 12 km after Cahors , also allows you to organize the following stages differently.

This allows you to planone night in Montcuq then one night in Lauzerte, and give yourself time to really discover these two villages, their alleyways, their heritage and their atmosphere, rather than simply going around them while continuing on the GR65.

Your stop at Clos thus becomes the beginning of another rhythm: better distributing the walk to better enjoy the places passed through.
