At nearly 27 m² , Safran is the most spacious and modular room at Clos de la Fontaine.

It was designed to accommodate both a couple wishing to enjoy spacious rooms and a family coming to discover the Lot region .

Next to the main bed, the bunk beds , integrated into a wooden frame, create a true additional sleeping space. Children thus have their own little world while remaining in the same room as their parents.

This configuration makes Safran our ideal family room : Everyone finds their place, without the room looking like a dormitory.

And when Safran is occupied by only two people, its nearly 27 m² simply become an added comfort.

Space for the whole family

Traveling with children often means needing a little more space.

Safran offers just enough for everyone to settle in comfortably.

The large bay window opens directly onto a private 12 m² terrace-balcony , facing the countryside.

In the morning, parents can enjoy a quiet coffee there. Later, it becomes an additional space for reading, chatting, getting some fresh air, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet.

And when travelling as a couple, there is almost 27 m² inside and 12 m² outside to enjoy without counting.

A comfortable and functional bathroom

Safran has its own private bathroom , furnished in the same warm style as the bedroom.

It is notably equipped with a large walk-in shower .

This comfort is particularly appreciated when several people share the room, especially after a day of swimming, walking or exploring the Lot region.

Warm materials, wood, simple lines: a functional space that retains the atmosphere of the bedroom.

It allows you to go away as a family without giving up the comfort and space of a real bed and breakfast .

Parents and children share the same room, but have separate sleeping arrangements.

The garden, terraces and swimming pool allow you to fully enjoy the climate of the Southwest.

When temperatures rise further, the architecture of the house naturally protects it from the intense heat and our cooling system contributes to the comfort of the bedrooms in the heart of summer .

After a day in the sun or a few hours by the pool, it's nice to come back to a pleasant atmosphere in the house.

Outside, the summer of Quercy. Inside, the coolness of the Clos.

In the morning, take your time

Breakfast allows you to start the day peacefully with fresh bread from our baker, jams, homemade yogurts, fruit juices, coffee, tea and carefully selected products .

This is also the time when you can start to imagine the day's program.

Cahors and its market? Saint-Cirq-Lapopie? Rocamadour? The Padirac chasm? A stroll along the Lot river? A more relaxed day out?

Didier is happy to share his knowledge of the Lot and Quercy regions , his favorite places to eat and some ideas tailored to your desires and the pace of your family.

Because a successful day with children is not necessarily one where you managed to see everything.

It's often the one where everyone had a good time .

So you are not just being given a key.

We also give you some tips for discovering the region.

And are you staying for dinner tonight?

With a reservation, the Clos' Table d'hôtes allows you to extend your day without having to get back in the car.

We offer simple and delicious cuisine, prepared to please our guests , using fresh, seasonal, and mostly local products.

Dinner begins with an aperitif and then continues with a starter, a main course and a dessert.

For adults who wish, we also offer food and wine pairings around the vineyards of the Lot region , another way to discover the territory and its producers.

The communal table is also a time for meeting.

We exchange information about the day's visits, the next steps, the places we liked, and the discoveries we recommend to other travelers.

And if you prefer to enjoy your evening only with family or as a couple, we can also prepare a separate table for you .

Sharing when you want to, preserving your privacy when you wish: this is also our way of designing hospitality.

After dessert comes coffee or, depending on the season, an herbal tea prepared with plants from the garden .

Cahors is just a few minutes away, and the Lot region is waiting to be explored with the family.

Clos de la Fontaine allows you to stay in the peace and quiet of the countryside while remaining just a few minutes from Cahors .

Its historic center, the Valentré bridge, Saint-Étienne cathedral, its market and the banks of the Lot already offer great opportunities for discovery.

Then come Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Bouziès and its towpath, Cajarc, Rocamadour, the Padirac chasm, Autoire and many other places to discover together.

The Lot region is particularly well suited to a stay where you alternate between heritage, villages, nature, swimming, walks and quieter days .
